  • Qualification for the FightBox television tournament has now closed
If you upload your scores to the FightBox website you will be entering the game and bound by these rules:

  • This game is open to UK residents only. Overseas entries will not be considered.

  • You can be any age to submit a Warrior to the website but only players over 18 will be eligible to participate in the television programme.

  • Each person playing the game must register individually on the website and use their own skills without the assistance of others.

  • Each player may submit up to three Warriors for the practise qualifiers but only one Warrior can be submitted to qualify for the television programme.

  • By submitting your warrior profile to the FightBox website (and to the extent, if any, not dealt with in the construction kit software licence to which you have already agreed) you:

  • 5.1 grant to the BBC a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, sub-licensable right and license throughout the world to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights in and with respect to your Warrior including but not limited to its name and any and all aspects of its appearance and/or to incorporate your Warrior including but not limited to its name and any and all aspects of its appearance in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist therein. • The name of your Warrior should be original. The BBC reserves the right to reject submitted names on the grounds of taste and decency or possible infringement of the rights of others. Anyone submitting offensive or abusive names will be banned from any further participation in the game.

  • Sixty participants for the TV show will be selected from the eligible players on the leader board based on overall score and most imaginative design of warrior. Eligible players will be those who are over 18 and have abided by all these rules.

  • The qualifying period for the opportunity to appear on the Fightbox television programme shall run from the launch of the leader board until the Closing Date (7th July 2003). Any scores submitted to the website after the Closing Date (7th July 2003) cannot be considered.

  • Chosen participants will be contacted personally by email shortly after the Closing Date. If, after a reasonable period of us attempting to make contact, and for whatever reason, we do not receive an email response from you at the address you supplied, your opportunity to appear in the TV programme may be forfeited and the BBC will be entitled to offer the opportunity to another player.

  • Chosen participants who want to take part in the Fightbox television programme will be required to enter into a further agreement assigning to the BBC (to the extent, if any, not dealt with in the construction kit licence to which the participant has already agreed) all rights in and to their Warrior including but not limited to its name and any and all aspects of its appearance on terms to be agreed.

  • The BBC's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Players may be deemed to be ineligible by the BBC at its sole discretion for failure to comply with the games rules or otherwise.

  • The BBC does not accept any responsibility for late or lost score submissions or corrupted accounts due to the Internet or otherwise or for any opportunity lost to any player as a result.

  • Players must supply full details as required and comply with all rules to be eligible for the participation in the television programme. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.

  • This game is not open to employees or contractors of the BBC, any person directly or indirectly involved in the BBC or the running of the game, or their direct family members.

  • The BBC reserves the right to cancel this game at any stage at its sole discretion for any reason.
